The Wellness Park Hotel Bactria is a three-star hotel in the Silk Road Samarkand complex, set on the right bank of the rowing canal about 400 m from the Eternal City. Its design draws on ancient Zoroastrianism and the Avesta, while the interiors celebrate Navruz, the spring festival inscribed on UNESCO's intangible heritage list in 2009.
Nineteen of the 92 rooms are suites, and the standard rooms include canal-view options and rooms with a kitchenette, handy for longer stays and families. The ground-floor restaurant is named after sumalak, the sprouted-wheat dish at the heart of Navruz, and serves a breakfast buffet followed by a menu built around healthy eating, with a 148-seat terrace. The lobby bar is open around the clock, and there is a small gym and a conference room on the ground floor.
