Zargaron sits on the pedestrianised part of Islam Karimov Street between the Registan and the Hazrat Khizr Mosque, directly opposite the Bibi-Khanym Mosque — about 100 m from it and 200 m from Siyob Bazaar. The ornately decorated upstairs dining room looks onto the mosque's portal and domes, and that view is what brings most people here.
The menu mixes Uzbek and international dishes: plov, lagman, vegetable manti, samsa, shashlik, pumpkin soup, quail, fish and Turkish pide. Reviewers agree on the view; opinions on the food are more divided.
