Maruf Osh is in the south of the city, about 1 km south of University Boulevard. It is a simple, busy and rather noisy place that people visit for Samarkand plov above all. Guests can watch — and film — the cooks at work, and the centre posts the daily cooking on its Instagram page.

Plov is served from 11:30 and the centre closes at 16:00. Lemon tea is the usual accompaniment.
