Chapon is on Davlatobod Street on the western side of the centre, about 150 m from Dinamo Stadium. Its name nods to the chapan, the traditional Uzbek quilted robe, and the interior is notable for its lighting and its nods to Samarkand's culture.
The menu is a mix: Uzbek and Eastern dishes such as manti, shashlik, plov, lagman and dolma share space with Greek and Italian plates, and the baklava gets good reviews. Musicians play in the evenings, hookah is available, and the kitchen keeps going until 1am.
