Hostel Muborak
Family hostel with a courtyard in an old mahalla
A family-run hostel with a big courtyard deep in an old mahalla, 450 metres from the Bibi-Khanym Mosque, with air-conditioned rooms, courtyard parking and home-cooked breakfasts.
The hostel is at 82 Muborak Street, deep in the old quarter near the Registan and Bibi-Khanym. In a straight line the Gumbaz Synagogue is 270 metres away, the Bibi-Khanym Mosque and the Imam al-Maturidi Complex 450 metres, Shah-i-Zinda 570 metres and the Registan 810 metres; guests describe walking to the sights through narrow, atmospheric lanes.
Rooms open onto a large inner courtyard where you can park a car, and there is a small shop on the premises. Rooms are air-conditioned, and 2023 reviews mention new furniture and mattresses. The hosts cook breakfast, and laundry can be arranged with the administrator. This is a family home — the owners live around the courtyard — so it can be noisy during the day, as some guests have pointed out.
