A Friday mosque in Quyiguzar mahalla, Gus rural community, Urgut District. Its renovated buildings were opened for worship in March 2024.

History

In 2020 plans were drawn up for a dome over the centre of the mosque courtyard. Once the renovation was complete, the new buildings opened for worship in March 2024, just before Ramadan.

Official list: Listed by the Samarkand branch of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan (sammuslim.uz).

Visiting a mosque: cover shoulders and knees (women should wear a headscarf) and take your shoes off at the door; avoid prayer times and ask before taking photos.
